Sameboat CLFE customizable local directory is a major function delivered as an integral app with the domains CMS and primary use case for it and other infra, importantly Popular Groups.
Its derivation includes the following:
D7 Back End
ED Classifieds 1. Provides the core of the classifieds data mgt.
Commerce for Products and Pricing. Adapted for Redvant and the common ledger, larger Public Market purpose.
Auction and Reverse Auction unified wanted/for-sale alternatives to static pricing. Present as the D7 modules for workout in vivo of public market concept/purpose.
¹ "ED" from its origins in D4/5 from an entity named Exodus Development.
Django Front End
clfe (craigslist like front end)
Adapted from django classifieds to generate it's craigslist like data structure from the ed classifieds taxonomy and use other infra replacing its backend. Basically gutted and rewritten rather than adapted as required for so substantially different a backend and use. The python pkg is currently a standalone django 5 project interface to the d7 stuff but the roadmap is for integration as a django-cms app in the end product.
Redvant embeddings
D7 modules and arbitrary other (non-php) pkgs can be embedded in the leaves of the category tree such as node_gallery, views_galleriffic, etc for display galleries as in craigslist but with variability per site. Video recording and conferencing functions are available from the uniform network facilities for that in addition to just static text and image ads.
C六 general features such as the DS App, DCMS> python components supporting bots and matching, etc.
DCMS general infrastructure, e.g. D7 Entities to bridge Commerce and Auction with the LD categories and contexts, taxonomy, PG, etc.
State of the Major Function in a new node of the network ...
Nodes oriented to devops groups
In nodes such as the common root sameboat.network, where the user groups are expected to be capable, the taxonomy and categories are delivered in a minimal configured state for subsequent user articulation.
Nodes oriented to other groups
General nodes such as the geonodes (e.g. ord.sameboat.network ) are fully configured according to the type of node, with a common starter taxonomy and categories which may subsequently be user modified or not as desired.
