Original DCP/MCP instances

A Domain Control Program controls all of my domains and the MCP instances supporting them. Core domain space MCPs have short mnemonic designations. The DEV MCP in my LAN, hosts the first instance of DCP. STG, the live DCP, also hosts the primary instance of the domains CMS, the source of continuous distribution to downstream instances, which subsequently are expected to not in general be under my control . STG is the seed bed from which the other core clusters spring and the locus of public workout for domain space services.

budding

Budding is the creation of a new MCP, prior to which one MCP may be in germinal form within another, initially the case for CMN, BUF, ORD, and SEA before they bud out of STG.

clfe, sbld, and the core network

CLFE names a django front end to the classifieds function in SBLD , the default anchor feature of the network of clusters, and the local directory (LD) major function. Besides the central node , each geonode aggregates the subdistricts of some geographic region in a LD on a separate MCP. The STG MCP is the core domain space DCP and CMN hosts the non-geo (virtual) groups, principally IRC. ¹ Outside of core domain space consisting of the STG/ CMN, BUF, ORD, and SEA MCPs, downstream ones may be either managed or diverged. Managed MCPs are under core DS DCP control and are updated by it. Diverged operators are responsible for the domain spaces under their control but their MCP instances have the same distribution mechanisms as core DS. SBLD is differentiated from craigslist and other local directory networks as described here. The sameboat network, like all of domain space, is oriented to serve the AKPERSON and ihr groups.
